After reading your grill post, I decided to do some rehab on my old Char-Broil Commercial Series grill. It's 10 years old & still looks/works great, but the cooking grates were so rusty & gross, I'd quit using the grill at all. I found some new direct replacement cast iron grates and stainless flavorizer bars, supposed to be delivered this week. Seems like a much cheaper alternative to a new grill. I'm ready to grill me some "sammon" and stuff!
Pro-tip: If you like a smoky flavor, try some hickory or mesquite wood chips, soaked in water and then wrapped in an aluminum foil "pouch". Just throw on the back of the grill & smoke up your neighborhood! Smells great!
