I would be all over a Kia Optima for $90/mo with nothing down! Goodbye 20 year old SAAB 9000 with it's inherent problems - but that's not what they offer here. The dealers here are currently offering a 2013 Optima for $249/mo with nothing down, see link. Plus in Illinois you have to pay sales tax on the full capitalized cost of the car up front on a lease (no idea how they get away with that) which may or may not be included in the offer - "see dealer for details".

Also, I have not seen a $2500 down plus $160/month lease on a Volt around here. Do lease rates really vary that much around the country? You're in California, right? I know that they have better Volt leases there, but you don't get the state benefits if you are not a resident.
