My son has one. Has a sleeker more elegant look than the comparable Volvo SUV model. You don't say if you're thinking new or used, but they're pretty rare either way. They SUV versions are plentiful new and used and there's no drawback in how they drive and handle. With used car prices the way they are you might as well buy new. I drove an Alfa Stelvio and liked it, but it just didn't seem "special" enough to justify possible maintenance/reliability issues. Another possibility might be an Accord Touring, pretty quick and is available with a manual trans. Even a Civic EX is comparable to your 9-5 in size and room, will probably out handle it, has similar acceleration and gets way better mileage. Brand new for $26K and change with a turbo 1.5 and loaded. I have the same CVT trans in my CRV and to my surprise I like it. Floor it from a light and it bangs off shifts like a normal auto. In regular driving it doesn't moan like a lot of them do. They did have a manual trans version with a hatchback a couple of years back.
