Volvo CPO cars can be upgraded to a 10 year warranty for an addition charge over the standard 5 years from the initial delivery date. I found the Saab 5 year CPO warranty covered any problems. I realize a car that is in the shop all the time might not be the best choice, even if it doesn’t cost anything for repairs, but it reduces the financial risk of a complex car. Consumer Reports never liked SAABs that much, but here we are still driving and enjoying them. Some of us look for something more than a reliable appliance, although SAABs have proved to be pretty reliable in the long run.
