Does she have an AAA membership or would her car insurance pay to tow it to an authorized service facility, like Bernie? I would think driving the car would be a bad idea with a big oil leak and possibly other problems. Am I correct that the oil cooler lines are not near the alternator? I hate to speculate on very little information, but I had this thought. The oil pump o-ring leaks a lot of oil when it splits and throws oil all over including the alternator which is nearby.
