Redmilk: You really seem to have struck a nerve on this BB! I feel encouraged to put my 2@ in: even though I am from a generation that
mostly believed in marriage instead of the transient relationships that
seem endemic nowadays. In an effort to view all the possible angles of this
situation, I notice that marriage was mentioned at least twice in your orig
msg. I haven't read all of the replies, so I dont know if anyone else mentioned this or not, BUT 5 years is a fairly large chunk of time to invest in a relationship. It's approximately half of both of the times
i spent enjoying all the rights and privileges of married life. Could it be
possible that in the bak of your girlfriends mind, the hope of marriage may
have been simmering? If attending weddings and the suggestions of friends
pressured her maybe the pressure was to douse the hope of marriage with you
which may have been slowly diminishing and meeting the new hunk finally put
an end to it. Just a possibility? I agree that a man can never outpsych a
woman, and in my limited experience, I have know women to change their minds, but when they change their MEN, it is usually final! Good Luck!
