My boss just sold his 2001 528i and is looking at a 2006 328i. I didn't realize that ALL 3-series since 2006 remodel are run-flat's.
Personally, I have no experience with run-flats, but I've seen plenty of complaints about the added ride harshness, the limited selection of replacement tires, and the replacement tire costs.
To me, this just seems like a lazy way out for BMW to shave a few pounds off the car and simplify their engineering, by eliminating the spare. I guess being the "Ultimate Driving Machine" they can't stoop so low as to have a doughnut spare. Thphthph.
