And boy does it show you black and white how much gas is used when going from stop sign to traffic light when driving in a "normal" way.

The "savings" when you are coasting down to the next stop sign is not nearly as big as the "cost" when stepping on the gas pedal again to get going.

Yes, I believe that if someone really wants to save on gasoline will benefit by using the gauge but they will probably be labeled as a slug too by the car behind them just like it feels like every time you are behind a Prius.
