I drive by a place in Lyons CO where the owner has a number of older Subarus wagons in his yard along a newer outback - these are 70s and 80s or maybe even a late 60s, definately cramped fugly looking things.
I recall looking at a Legacy sedan in the early 80s when I think Subaru was calling it a "world car" and ended up with a Honda instead.
