They are about the same size as a mid-90's Pathfinder/4 Runner, but they are much taller. We've done three household moves in the last four years and I can't you tell how many times I've had it loaded to the ceiling, plus pulling Uhaul trailers. I have no idea what I would have done without it. They are a bit short compared to a pickup but you can have longer stuff stick out the back window. The only "problem" with Wranglers is the resale value--you pretty much have to buy them new--there are no used ones that make any sense, even 10 or 15 years old. That's why I never bought one before. If I wanted something used I'd look at either an Nissan X-terra or the two door Landcruiser (which also has a funky charm). But if you can go new, there's nothing quite like a Wrangler.
