Lotsa' folks get lotsa' pleasure and enjoyment from things that people easily "dis". And everybody's personal feedback network is different. Dissing Saabs is the easiest thing in the world. In your subsequent post you state you've owned Saabs for 25 years so you must be used to it by now. Any 9-5 could be considered the best Saab ever. Even the 1st year 9-5, a 1999, is likely statistically more reliable than any other model or year of Saab. 9-5's are even endorsed by major Japanese lovin' consumer magazines.
And a 9-5 SportWagon is the coolest Saab of all time, the ultimate Saab hatchback. You can get 'em mild to wild, light pressure turbo to Aero, stick shifts, fabulous automatics, and the later models come with the toys like xenons, park assist, even navigation. Even the mostly standard Harmon Kardon sound is world class. And a stripped 9-5 still has leather, power everythhing, moonroof and more!
A 9-5 is a world class competitor for the likes of 5 Series Bimmers, E Class Mercedes and every other executive class pretender with better fuel economy, better safety ratings (FWD too) and an exclusivity that's unmatched at a bargain price, new or used.
So go for it! Own the best Saab of all time.
And of course, all the cool people drive SportWagons
