Julia:
My wife has a 2000 9-5 wagon, V6 turbo. These cars are really needy and prone to problems for things that are NOT related to regular maintenance.
And while on the topic of maintenance, if you are not one of those anal retentive car owners that do the routine maintenance on a strict schedule keeping a journal, SAABs are not for you.
When we get rid of this SAAB we are not touching one again, ever.
Notice that I will be flamed badly in this forum for saying this, but members here are blinded by their loyalty to the brand and say that all cars have problems and that this is a troubleshooting site, but SAABs have many things that should not break as often as they do. Specially for technologies that at this point in time should be really known and dependable (how about severe coolant leaks in three different places with less than 80,000 miles? Or multiple front wheel bearings? The list goes on...)
