Yes, Swedish turbos are harder on oil than other engines. (Even other turbocharged engines.) So you'll see more oil shearing/viscosity reduction with ALL oils in our cars.
Yes, 0W-40 is more volatile (will 'boil-off' in high heat/high stress engines) than 5W-40, so you'll likely have to add make-up oil during your OCI. (You're checking your oil regularly anyway, right?)
But if you're only running short (5k mi) OCIs, or if you live in an area that routinely drops below 0F in the winter, then 0W-40 should offer excellent protection & worry-free operation.
And if you also own a non-turbo car, 0W-40 is a great year-round choice. I've run it in my 1990 C900 for 2 yrs/20k mi OCIs with absolutely no viscosity reduction! But again, it depends on your specific application, driving conditions, & personal opinions. If you can't sleep at night knowing 0W-40 is in your engine, then you shouldn't use it! ;-)
