Overall, this car is pretty much free of rust because we do get it oil sprayed. I fished a boros ope into the hole where the passenger side cowl drain goes. There is a cavity, but I think it is just structure and it is completely clean. However, feeling in the hole there is another hole to presumably another cavity under the cowl sheet metal. Like the water path is a 180 and then it trickles from that cavity out several holes to the fender.
I found a reference on another forum to someone having to re-seal a seam at the bulkhead. I guess I need to cut into the foam at the firewall and see what can be done. Most of the water drains from the car but enough gets in to make a puddle on the floor.
Interestingly, we had no issues with this until a few weeks ago when I cleaned out the middle cowl drain (that was previously cemented shut). There was some debris under the cowl grille but not a massive amount...
