What I did was get some bushing washers at ACE and cut them in half. They were about .060 thick. Then, tapped them between the throwOUT bearing and the fingers. I made two stacks to push the fingers in just another increment -- then pushed the clutch to put in a .150 thick ring to push the fingers in just a bit more. I only needed one stack, so about .060 thick added just enough, but still had to hammer in the circular ring to keep the fingers compressed.
Then, installed the capture bellows tool that compresses the slave and throwOUT bearing, and eureka, the slave assembly came out without taking off the pressure plate with it. I was kinda shocked. The difference was the C shims thickness between the throwOUT bearing and the PP fingers.
