The last time I did one on a turbo, I started with an O2 wrench, that quickly went bad so I cut the wire and used a regular deep socket. The socket rounded off the edges to the point where it would no longer grip. I ended up using a pipe wrench and that was relatively easy. The pipe wrench would always be my first choice these days. But beware, it will destroy things to the point where if the pipe wrench doesn't work, you will have a mess and nothing short of removing the manifold and drilling it out will work.
Be sure to use plenty of your favorite penetrating oil. (I use PB-Blaster these days)
