I'm going with starter/ solenoid going and/or cables on their way out.... I vaguely remember there's a wire work around for that too ... But that maybe only for earlier c900 ? ( Lh.2.2 turbo....?)... And also remember something about using the test socket inside the main fuse box to start the car ...

Hopefully that gives you some direction to look in/ food for thought...
