Blazing acceleration!!!!!...

Well, I decided to try out the "Fuse 9" trick and see if there was any truth to it.
Holy Smokes!!! There's truth, and then some, to that trick! I'm talking about a neck-snapping, incredible-pulling, rocket-powering rush!
What I'm referring to is pulling Fuse 9 in an auto to fake the ECU into thinking the tranny is a stick. The ECU receives a signal from Pin 14, which is controlled by Fuse 9, and limits torque (as well as boost) in an auto.
My car is Stage 3, and the normal max boost is around 16 - 18 psi. By pulling this fuse, max boost was pushed to 21 psi!! The stock turbo gauge was at the end of the red zone! My VDO boost gauge was showing 21 psi, as well as a few times going slightly higher. What an incredible feeling. This is with the Garrett T25 turbo (as is in the CSE and auto Aero).
I don't know how smart it is to have this set continually, since it *could* lead to premature tranny failure from too high torque pressure, but what a temptation to make this a permanent thing.
I have read before on this board where you can install an "on-off" switch in the wiring to Pin 14, so that this can be turned on when wanted. Is this true for all years' 9K's? How do I determine which wire is Pin 14? The problem with removing Fuse 9 is that it also controls the sunroof, rear windows, and cig lighter which my radar detector is plugged into (definitely need that working at times like these).
Just thought I'd share my enlightened experience this morning.
