I have heard mixed things about Subaru reliability. Most folks say they are pretty good. The interior quality seems about average.
Of course in the 1 1/2 years I've owned my saab the AC went completely at 30,000, the door handle broke off, the spoiler broke, the hatchback leaks, one of the fan settings makes a horrible chirping sound, it constantly goes out of alignment, the headlight adjustment wont stay put etc.. I still love it though.
It feels and looks so solid, but it keeps breaking, and it only has 35,000 miles on it. All of these factors conspire aginst my argument for keeping it. I have put almost $2,500 in repairs into it, only to have the resale value drop $2,500. It's testing my loyalty for sure.
