I was in the same position as you a couple of years ago, albeit in a completely different field. I didn't really know what to do either. In my last two years of college I worked in a couple of internship-like situations. I didn't really think I was getting that much out of it at the time but what I realized is that I learned a lot about the kind of work I like and don't, about how to deal with people in a work-type setting, and these rather dead-end experiences have really influenced my decisions down the line a lot more than you might think. After college I did a one-year fellowship that wasn't very exciting or enjoyable but it gave me the time to really consider my options and solidify my goals and after that I got into a great gradaute program which I don't think I would have gotten without that extra year of experience. My point is, all of these seemingly minor experiences I had that were related to my professional aspirations, they all added up. None of them were that great but they all gave me the information I needed to put myself on the track I wanted to be on and they built up my resume enough to make it possible. Going abroad to teach or do whatever is only going to enrich your perspective, I mean, you can't go wrong there. And even if you dont get a Fulbright to do it, there are lots of other programs for that. Oh yeah, here's my advice advice for the immediate future: if it is at all appealing to you, then find a way to travel for fun. Like others have said, you might never have the chance to just take off like that again. I went to Europe for a month after graduation and my only regret was not staying longer (I mean a lot longer), because that was a once in a lifetime chance, which I didn't realize at the time. If you have to go live with mom and dad for a few months and work to save up some money, I'd bet it will still be well worth it.
I know how easy it is to get anxious about going out into the world, even when you have a lot going for you and people are telling you how lucky you are because you have so many options. When you're actually in that position it can seem very scary. It will be fine though!!!
Good luck
