gm is right. maybe even go with a used cheap amp for now, even 25-50 watts of power will sound better than 100 and cheaper speakers. but the onkyo is fine system and priced pretty good. always has been. speakers. speakers. speakers. if you are an audiophile, they are the business end. listen to cymbal ring, walking bass lines, rosin leaving violin bows, maynard ferguson jammin the trumpet at volume, is it still clear and raspy or starting to merge into lower def, female vocal is always hard to recreate as well. how does it sound when it is quiet. etc. but i think you will be into 3-400 each for a speaker minimum but you will never be happier than relaxing to a real quality hi definition soundstage and hearing things you never did before every time you listen. maybe look for scratch and dent sales too. like mine are! shipped coast to coast via ups, u-haul, 99 turbo, SPG... you name it. :) wrapped in handmade cardboard boxes or not chipped , dented, scratched, tape residued...
then set up and cranked like a madman until the amp overheats, turn the boost down one psi to keep the head on...then repeat until grown up. I don't want to be a grown up anymore. But the family insists :)
