max load approx. 800lbs,divide over each axle. of course I had exceeded that (400lbs) in the rear! I had (14) 4x4x8 plus 150lbs of quickrete, that was just the first load..... 2 mile drive with the tires squealing on the inner wheel wells. That was over a year ago, car is my daily driver, still runs smooth to this day!
What I am understanding is that you are upset with the 1) ride quality and 2) amount of a$$ sagging your car displays when loaded up?
Those ratings are the maximum allowed that the car can still operate in a safe manner (ie. turning and braking). I am sure no harm is being done to the car other than the tires are being stressed to their limits. but then again our C900s are built tough, never owned a new gen 900-93-95 so maybe they are......weak?
We loaded almost 4000lbs of concrete (full pallet) in our work truck, a 2007 F250 4x4 with huge V8, it was near its payload cap. the hitch was inches from the ground and the truck could barely get out of its own way! but it turned corners it stopped and even made it to the jobsite. that's just the way it is.
