I have tried but if Ford sells 200,000 of X car and Saab sells 10,000 of Y car and both have a defect rate of 10% and a complaint rate of 1% of the those with defects, Ford gets 200 complaints and Saab gets 10. Now when you start comparing a Ford vehicle to a 9-5 Aero SW the numbers look even worse. Saab's low volumes makes it more immune to government actions as the government is short staffed as it is and can't chase down the manufacturers for every complaint.
The lemon laws, etc. are really quite weak without one going and getting a lawyer which isn't that easy as most don't want the undertaking of battling the manufacturers because they may lose and not get paid. I have tried. Pro se is looking more like my only option.
