Speedometer markings are not a specification. Payload per my placard and manual is.
Duty cycle is an indication of the proportion of time a machine can operate so by definition any machine with a duty cycle cannot operate continuously.
Payload is a material specification relating to the structure of the vehicle. If the spec is correct, the payload should not be limited in time or distance. As already discussed, wear items might fail slighltly earlier.
Steel, unlike say aluminum, has virtually no decay in its yield strength under load cycling. So if the design is correct, my subframe would never fail unless the specs are exceeded. Since the specs were not exceed, the subframe and/or other suspension components must have been bad.
