505 miles and 10 hours is not a long drive. If you do that often, you will see problems. You don't have an Aero but those with non-Aeros report problems similar to mine. The problems seem to get worse the longer the weight is in the car. The steel is yielding somewhere.

How much sag did you get with that weight? Do you have any pictures of the car fully loaded? Your saying you had about 975 lbs which is close or overloaded depending on the car, but I'll assume you were under.

I drove my Saab cross country. About 6K and 2-3 weeks in, a tire blew out as the subframe had failed and the camber was way off. Most of the trip prior to the problem was just me and some stuff in the trunk. Maximum at any time was 4 occupants and some stuff in the trunk.
