back in the mid 80's. Even in a big Saab town like Boulder, CO they weren't exactly knocking down our door. We used to have a very detailed 30 page engineering features booklet that we gave out that gave the logic behind every feature. Unfortunately, for the vast majority of people logic rarely plays a part when it comes to decions about cars (look around you on the road). Saab either needs to find a way to make money catering to a small group of dedicated customers (like Porche) or make cars that have broader appeal. I definately hope they decide to build cars that are "out of the box", but they also have to strike a chord with customers (Mini Coopers and New Beetles come to mind) and sell in sufficient numbers. They need to build the kind of cars that generate waiting lists and people paying sticker price plus.
