'Stealerships' really does some it up. The fact that you even bother to mention the coffee and doughnuts is a little alarming. Let me get this right-you give your customers C&D's, a car wash and maybe a demo to take home, and you think that justifies $125++ and 100%/400% markup on parts, all with no regard for the actual issues the customer has with the car, and tell them its just tough when they didn't get what they expected. Or, they bring the car in for a warranty repair, and you spend the time trying to find some scary sounding things that you could charge them for-brakes, for example. Year or so back we took our toyota 4 runner in for a small warranty repair. Got the standard stream of dealer BS. "yeah, the brakes could do with replacing, and here's an estimate i so helpfully put together for you", when i had replaced pads and rotors just a few months before. Guy just kind of looked at me blankly, like "that's great, but you need to give us some money" or something. Quote was over a grand! Now, had i not been knowledgable, i would have said "brakes!" got to have brakes, right?
Tell me your dealership NEVER recommended brakes when they didn't need them!
Fortunately, i havn't had to put myself through the dealership experience too often, but whenever i have to, it costs much more than it should, and i have to go home and take a shower (joke).
There is a reason why builders and dealers have a bad reputation....
