My old 900 was unstoppable and very secure driving in deep snow even with worn out all seasons (Bridgestone RE930). In the same conditions, my AWD Subaru, wearing same model tires but brand new, would spin out at the slightest application of the throttle.
SAABs are terrific winter cars.
