Over the last year I have been questioned about the reliability of Saabs from friends and strangers and it seems to be increasingly common.
Just yesterday while at the coffee shop a 9-5 parked next to my C900. Mike(9-5)began to lament about the multiple issues he has had with his 9-5 and would never buy another Saab. He was a recent Saab brand owner (GM era) and actually purchased Saab based on the reputation of the older Saabs. He was unaware that GM had purchased the company until he did his research and after costly repairs. His attitude towards Saab has been completely soured and he was proud to spread the word concerning his negative experience.
Your previous posts are spot on concerning advertising and so forth. Many newer Saab owners don't have any knowledge of the company history and major mods performed in the recent decade or so. As stated in other posts, many consumers don't care about certain things but personal testimonies about a product can be priceless.
I really hope things get turned around.
