In addition, in a typical from wheel drive car more of the weight is on the front tires. The backs would have to be pretty worn to cause the back end come around. In fact, tires get their best traction when they're about half worn. If I had to choose what tire to have a blow out it would be the rear-I'd certainly prefer having two working tires on the front to steer and break with. Finally big rig drivers always put the best tires on the front axle for the same reason.
