Hey-I'd say we're a different bunch on the whole and choose our cars because we don't like the image associated with the typical prestige brand cars (benz, bmw, lexus, etc.) I am a 22 year old college student taking time off to figure out what exactly I want to do in this life. I have a red 1991 9000 turbo and its my second.. First was Mom's 89 9000 CDT. (and she wasn't a rich housewife-a schoolteacher actually) I think we value education and are an open mided bunch; I've traveled a bit and haven't noticed many Saabs outside my area. I live in suburban New York-Rockland and Westchester counties. This is Saab country-I'd say from here all the way up the coast to Maine you won't find more anywhere. I am very outgoing, and consistently find myself in trouble because I'll go out of my way to help others. I am a dog fanatic and love the water. I enjoy sailing and swimming and recently took up rugby. SO-I'd say I'm not the stereotype that exists in Sweden and that we have more in common than you might realize. Apart from the 9-3 cabrio which is bought by many for status (the only other cars in calss are bmw and benz-no fwd) I think there are many interesting similarities. As far as engineering goes-i was previously an architecture major before being lured by the world of NY finance-I won't change when I get that 9-3 viggen convertible though. Ah-by the way-around here saabs last forever-they get passed on and you tend to have things in common w/other saabers. My good friend still has his 89 900 which he's selling to get a NG 900. It's a cool thing. Good luck. John
