Marketing Research = data masquerading as insight. I have bought SAABs not because of who I am but because of what the car is. Because traditionally they have had great handling, great utility, are fun to drive (put a grin on my face), are rugged and relatively safe. I suppose that does say something about me after all. Point is for me and in this part of the country (upper Midwest) it is really (or least traditionally was) about the car. Over the years it has been fun to watch as people who would never have considered a SAAB (some of whom even ridiculed SAAB) become believers and even owners (often declaring them the best car they ever owned) after having a chance to experience them.
My general attitude toward convertibles is, "if I paid that much for a car I'd want a damn roof". I don't have a dog. I used to live to downhill ski but have done very little in recent years. I also enjoy sailing although I haven’t done much of that in the last few years either. I am well ‘degreed’ although I am not sure that I would say I am well educated. I don't make much money and am not part of the country club set. There is not a stay at home housewife in this household. Large bodies of water have a powerful draw on me. I could go on but...what exactly is it you wanted to know anyway?
