Always nice to know there are people out there who will take the time to enter the information, especially when that information meets (and exceeds) expectations.
Since cars are the second most expensive items we purchase, care ought to be shown in their selection. There are plenty reason people go back to these cars which can be summed up in one word - integrity.
That word is used a lot in the industry I left - hydrocarbon exploration, extraction, shipping and refinement, and sales.
We're entering a longish transition period now from carbon based energy sourcing to hydrogen. It will be a rocky road for the automobile industry as all kinds of unexpected transition costs will be thrown at them, including now a few systems for taking the power and turning it into safe, reliable, clean and reasonably-priced transportation.
Reminds me of a Survivor episode writ large. Look for Saab to be among the survivors and win its share of immunity challenges. Although not without its risks, sometimes it pays to take the "road less travelled."
No wonder GM bought Saab. Let's just hope they bought into the philosophy.
Auto writers who seldom write about Saab, and when they do, choose words like "hoary" miss the point entirely. Other cars are beginning to resemble what Saab has always been rather than the other way around. In this way, Saab is and will continue to be a cutting-edge product.
