Hi,

I like the Green part to Louies note. I'm sure the oil cleaning and paper towels add to costs and environmental issues as well. K&N may add 2-5 HP but the added noises are a pain in the ass. I would rather listen to my Itunes than a nasty HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS and waste gate TOOOOOOOK.
Also If you run a K&N and the routing is low or bad and your drive through a deep puddle you can suck in H 2/0 and hydro lock your motor. I've done it with a company car with 6000 mile on the new car drove through a huge puddle at 30 MPH. WHACK WHACK WHACK WHACK 4 bent connecting rods and valves mashing the pistons.

The dealer wasn't happy but they installed a new motor, this is why you see rad Jeeps with the air filters near the roof also less dust and less heat.

Add a K&N for track days. If you want performance you can always remove weight seats ect. I think it's cool that some performance cars, I think the Evo and possibly the new M3 are removing the steel roof and adding carbon fiber and they say this lowers the cars center of gravity some huge number like 5%. I would love to see a 2000 lbs gutted 9000T with a 330 HP motor. Now that would handle, get great mileage and rip.

Cheers
