Safety was the big one for these folks. The idea that they could be dead in traffic, let alone stranded. The money to correct is not the real issue, it is just a small insult after the real insult on the road. I'll pass on what some said about Saab USA taking care of some on the cost. However, when my friends talked to the service manager, whom they and I both like and respect, he indicated that Saab has told them there is nothing they would do in such a situation and that a lot of things are going to be changing after the beginning of January. They do not know just what he meant other than some kind of changes from on high were going to be coming down.
