With all due respect to the Saab Brand Manager from Saudi, the point is that when you spend upwards of $40k on a car you don't want or expect to spend your valuable time at the dealer getting things fixed; expensive things that aren't supposed to go wrong in a high priced, quality car. I have had a 900, 9000, 95V6, and now also an Aero 95. Over roughly 7 years, the first three have cost me more than $18k in service alone! I am a maintenance freak (proactive); yet the A/T in the 9000 failed and had to be replaced because it cannot be repaired; the pulley/tensioner just failed in my V6 at only 45k miles. I could go on and on but the point is that there ARE other brands out there with higher quality where you will spend significantly less time and money on service. All readers should do themselves a favor and forget Saab and their great engineering and go buy yourself a better car (try a Toyota or some other well made Japanese brand) and enjoy all the advantages of the extra time on your hands instead of arguing with Saab over what they should be responsible for fixing.
