I dont think anyone is saying that the DI is not a problem but I think personally the plusses are greater. Having said that I still have a VW golf that I bought when my son was born 17 years ago . He drives it now, it has 300,00 miles on it orginal fuel pump and starter also back in th 70s i had a 1975 Vega GT. I had 124,000 miles on it when I replaced the orginal clutch. Both the VW and the Vega I was warned not to buy because of failures and that they were junk.
I understand your thoughts and im not disagreeing with you. but after all of the things I have been through in my life I look at the glass as being half full vs. half empty.
Im more of an optomist. If it happens it happens I deal with the problem and move forward.
Tim
