Dipstick bolt hex head is 19mm or 3/4-inch & right hand Posted by walt [Email] (#2707) [Profile/Gallery] (more from walt) on Mon, 20 Jul 2015 07:41:51 In Reply to: Clutch & Brake pressure/ABS, Frak [Profile/Gallery] , Mon, 20 Jul 2015 03:53:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
thread, so it turns counterclockwise to loosen. Dipstick has a shallow hex head, so wrench has to be on it fully or it will slip and round corners. Welding another nut on its top would fix this. Reverse gear pops out due to gears being chipped, due to shallow tooth engagement and from failing to slip into a forward gear while stopped, before selecting reverse. See post link below about flipping reverse lever over to get deeper tooth engagement. You might check with Eriksson in CT to see if they still sell reversed levers. erikssonindustries dot com.
On the ABS, sometimes the switch that controls the pump and dash lights gets its contacts corroded, since it's near heater hoses. It might be worthwhile checking its connector located underneath ABS master cylinder and cleaning if needed.
