I'm adept in rounding off all kinds of bolt heads. Especially in-between hot header and turbo down pipes. I'm going to take the impact to it when I get out of the woods (literally)!
I have a re-built tranny with less then 8,000 miles on it. Eriksson built it and it's still under warranty. I don't believe anything is wrong with any of the gears though. It's logical to me that grinding would take place when the clutch isn't engaging. I can grind 1st gear too if I wanted. I simply go to 2nd to avoid that.
If reverse gear were damaged it wouldn't explain any of the other symptoms. They are all related. The problem is air in the hydraulic system. A damaged reverse doesn't explain losing brake and clutch pressure.
That being said I've found a minuscule leak at the flexable portion of the clutch hose that runs from master to slave cylinder. I'm ordering the part from Eeuro and will bleed it the old fashion way... I'll make a friend. :-)
Thanks for your input. I'll post the results. Hopefully that truly is the problem and the only one at that. If it's a reverse gear I'll eat crow and so will Eriksson. ;-)
