20 years too young for a Buick?? Damn. I've owned two Buicks before I turned 20! They're great cars; hangin out back in high school and college, nobody would want to cram in to the Camrys or Jettas - we would all pile into someone's Buick, Mercury, etc. (or sometimes we'd ride in that rich kid's brand new Expedition). I try not to get hung up on other people's ideas of who should drive what car - I try to not judge the car by the badge it wears, but by the content of its character!
Seriously, I think every Buick in the last 20 years has a Chevy, Pontiac, and/or Olds equivalent - why should the Buick be reviewed any less positively because of the name? If anything, Buick has better build quality than its GM cousins!
I've always liked the Lucerne a bit more than the LaCrosse, but the new LaCrosse is pretty nice (understandably so; it's very much akin to the new 9-5). I'm really not an SUV-person, but the Enclave seems really really good from the auto shows I've seen it at. I really don't see why people should avoid a Buick for some Japanese equivalent - the Buicks are just as good overall.
I guess the place where Buick actaully does falls short is in Marketing and PR. People need to get over this preconceived notion, and GM should be more aggressive in pushing the idea that Buick is a good car for anyone.
