Who said anything about commuting? As a Systems Engineer I support accounts in the Pacific Northwest and I have to drive to these accounts. Moving wouldn't help my situation but I make it enjoyable by owning and driving two Saabs that have good fuel efficiency, safety and fun driving characteristics.

As far as your other arguments, I will not waste time debating those who are not willing to accept modern science as valid or legitimate. The vast majority of climate scientists and peer-reviewed studies confirm the impact of human activity and CO2 emissions on climate change, and the need to slow emissions. You seem convinced that all these scientists and the organizations they work for have hidden "power" agendas or something to gain from these efforts, other than perhaps leaving a habitable planet to their children.

As a matter of fact, if you follow the money and look at who really stands to gain from the denial of human-caused climate change, it is the vested interests such as big oil, big coal, and power companies. Or Libertarians who refuse to acknowledge that the market is imperfect and does not account for environmental damage without legislation. These interests are doing their best to protect their interests by misleading the public and obfuscating the facts. They are the ones with the hidden agenda.
