just to clarify... I probably support some things governments do and not others in these regards... sanity is key! I wouldn't feel too bad if our government stopped subsidizing tar sands developments for example... not so much because of CO2 emissions, but because of other associated environmental problems... it's either economically feasible or it's not... no need to subsidize imho... but I don't mean to turn this into something political... let's just say that wrt AGW "religion", I'm agnostic: I have always been skeptical of the extreme claims on both sides (I remember seeing a popular science pro-AGW TV thing prior to Gore's movie, and was very unimpressed by the vast extrapolations presented as factual - good scientists know that extrapolations must be done with great care!!)... I'm really interested in hybrid drivetrains etc, and I think they will help the environment, but that is not the only reason for my interest + CO2 is not the big one... I'm not deluded enough to think buying a prius saves the world... I liked the Top Gear "Prius gets worse fuel economy than M5" bit ;-)...
ok, gotta do other stuff, cheers...
James...
