I like those 5-series. I like most BMWs as long as they have a manual and something of the sportier suspension packages.
I recently saw an Alpina e34 wagon with M-parallel wheels in navy blue. I almost followed it to ask if I could buy it.
As to the topic at hand, I have yet to drive an American or Asian car that has the same feel as the European cars I've driven. I'm the first to admit that I don't/haven't driven many very new cars, but the '04 Camry I've driven and the Subies, Malibus, etc (all from the '00-'05 range) leave a LOT to be desired when compared to my mom's '01 9-5, my brother's '02 Jetta Sportwagon, my other brother's '02 Audi Allroad, my mom's e30 M3, and my '89 BMW 325iX.
I don't like appliance-like cars. They bore me.
Off to find a 9-5 Aero Wagon or a 5-door Viggen,
~Peter
