I'm considering buying something inexpensive and fun for the summer. Sounds like a bad idea, I know, but whatever. My adventure is fueled by petrochemicals.

I'd be interested in advice anyone has on these beasts. I'm looking for something in the ~24-30 foot range, no bigger than 30' for sure. I need it to be self-contained - primarily for AC, a toilet, and a refrigerator. I don't really need kitchen functions or a shower, though a shower would be nice. Since it'll be used during the warm months in mostly warm places, I don't need a heater at all. I don't care about televisions, stereos, or any other entertainment features. I guess self leveling might be nice, but it's hardly a dealbreaker.

It'd likely just be the two of us, though I could definitely see us taking two other people with us a few times, so maybe as many as four people. I don't care how comfortable they are. :P

I'm considering As and Cs, there seem to be pros and cons for each. The cost of repair and maintenance on the C is clearly lower, but with a 6-9 month ownership expectation I really hope to avoid maintenance entirely. I think Cs are generally safer, too, at least for the driver and front passenger.

I've been thinking & researching for months now, but I'd love to hear any first hand owner thoughts! I think this class of vehicle is decidedly un-Saab-owner-like, but you never know. ;)
