I love that stuff too and have had some bikes and go carts and even our little two stroke pylon racing engines. 27000rpm on the ground and near 30,000rpm in the air, those things really sing :-) The tuned pipe is the key and its amazing how much more power a good tuned pipe can bring out of a two stroke engine. Its a good 25% on these racing engines.
That is what a tuned pipe does, increases velocity of the exhaust and by doing that you create a low pressure side and the and it aids in sucking in more air through the intake, that is scavenging as I understand it... Its cool stuff... John
