I live in New Hampshire and while many people do use 4 winter tires, many more do not. The SUV people don't bother, or course, and it's fun to see them stuck, all four of their all-season tires spinning, or the truck buried to the frame. Now with all the AWD cars, people think they can avoid snow tires. Well, only if they are careful and don't let the treads get too thin.
