All Saabs before the latest 9-5 are steaming piles of poo in the handling and ride department compared to post-E39 BMW's (with the possible exception of some high performance 9-2x models). All BMW 5 series are steaming piles of pool in the handling department compare to real sport coupe's like the Honda Prelude, which in turn are steaming piles of poo compared to the handling prowess of high performance motorcycles than cost only $5k - $15k!. Are all owners of Saabs, modern BMW's and Honda Preludes all idiots? People buy different vehicles for different reasons.

If you drive any of the cars like you'd drive a motorcycle, you'd be spinning out of control in no time. OTOH, many modern SUV's equipped with proper DSC/VSC programming are far more stable in emergency maneuvers than even older cars without them. Center of gravity is only one factor, one among many factors.
