Most of the stuff I'm finding seems to have been rode hard and put away wet. OG 9-3s and 200-2002 9-5s with 120K-185K miles, fair bodies, no PCV upgrades, unknown histories. Were supposedly new car trades, but without doing a carfax there's no telling the number of owners.
But absent records you can still tell if a car has been cared for. IMO there are plenty of Saabs out there that are in the mid-100K+ mile range that are on 2nd or 3rd owners who have no idea that these aren't just Swedish Hondas, so they don't take care of them. And they trade them on a Kia or something.
I agree that we're heading to the point where the good used Saabs will pass among those of us who care about the cars. Probably a good thing, as it is for lots of cars that have a loyal following.
