Very nicely put, out of what kind of sailing would be intended is defiantly an off-shore sailing, so far I have been shopping for boats its looking like the Hunter or Beneteau from 38 to 48', the boat has the appeal for long term living, leg room if I want to do a few laps around the deck and able to haul a dingy quite easily.
I wouldn't worry how fast she was moving because there really wouldn't be a reason to be anywhere. Suppose if I`m lost at sea that would be exactly where I`d want to be. Thanks for telling me about the Catalina I had no clue there would be a sail boat built that cant get wet.
Circumnavigating is exactly where I`d be, Australia one month few months later just south of the north poll, or as close as I could get before the ice pack. This to me sounds like a dream, I suppose to someone else not so much. I been looking at boats for a few years now and every-time its been a Hunter or Beneteau 2000-08 that carries the price range the feet (38'-43')and the living comfort that is very appealing to me. How would these boat fare in circumnavigating?
