Watched the Beach Boys 50th anniversary special the other night on TV, I remember buying some of their early 45s and playing them on my parents record player - which gave you an electric shock if you grounded yourself.

Anyways the Beach Boys sounded and looked reasonably good for a bunch of over the hill dudes and S Cal and surfing reminds me of stuff like sufin safari and that whole music scene of the 60s.

The show even had a short interview with Brian Wilson and how the Beatles looked up to him and treated him nicely when he met them in London.
